Bvlgari Black was designed, in 1998, to be worn by both men and women. It was created to break conventions and so is composed without an olfactive pyramid, with the dominant key notes present in the base of the fragrance and the lesser finishing tones at the top.
A woody smoked fragrance, the dominant base of Bvlgari Black is lapsang souchong tea. The bottle is rounded and designed to fit the hand, a combination of metal, glass and rubber.
Top Notes: Lapsang souchang tea, bergamot and jasmine.
Middle Notes: Cedar, sandalwood and leather.
Base Notes: Amber, musk and vanilla.
I love this smell on myself, but regardless of it being classed as a unisex fragrance it smells terrible on my girlfriend. It just seems to have a bit of "suaveness" about it that that smells great on me but a bit funny on her
I agree with the previous review, can't see why a woman would want to smell like this really. It's a great cologne for men though - highly recommend.
