In 1927, Jeanne Lanvin created the perfume Arpege and dedicated it to her daughter Marguerite: the story of a mother's love for her child. The bottle, designed by Armand- Albert Rateau, the famous decorator of the twenties and thirties, strongly reflects the Art Deco culture of the time, as showed by the pure form of the black sphere, and the "godron" top which is also found on all the furniture in the Lanvin boutiques.
Originally launched in 1927 and re-launched in 1993, this feminine scent contains a blend of high floral notes combining honeysuckle, jasmine, roses and orange blossoms with base notes of vanilla and sandalwood. A floral, sensuous fragrance that is long lasting and strong.
